Onion is a plant sensitive to water stagnation and shies away from plot of land with discharge and from rainy area. It's adapted well to different kind of land, mainly those with medium texture, melted, deep and with a good structure. Gives good results if is associated to strawberries, tomatoes and lettuces. There are 2 typologies of onions: winter onion, sown in seedbed from January to March and collected in August-September, and spring onion, sown in the end of July-August or also in February and collected on March-April.
