The Carosello is cultivated in all the southern regions of Italy where there are many local types that are named for the shape of the fruit, the color of the skin and the growing areas. The culture can be started by transplanting seedlings with root ball anticipating the collection of 10-15 days compared to sowing in the open field. The collection begins 60 days after sowing, up to September-October choosing the fruits well enlarged but still immature and greenish before the color changes on yellow or orange.
